SHL’s educational programs extend the Institute’s founding mission to produce collaborative, compassionate leaders in clinical care. Our offerings evolve with healthcare workforce needs-covering various career stages, providing tailored education like micro-credentials and self-paced courses for flexibility and specialized learning experiences across the lifecycle. 

The Department of Medicine at Mass General is committed to providing innovative and world-renowned medical training to develop the next generation of medical leaders. Our investigators are dedicated to producing research that advances science and improves care for our patients. Through our multiple, standard-setting research units, centers and programs, the Department of Medicine has become a leader in developing major advancements in medicine.

Massachusetts General Hospital is home to the largest hospital-based research enterprise in the U.S., with an annual budget of nearly $1.2 billion in 2021. The Mass General Research Institute comprises more than 9,500 researchers working across more than 30 institutes, centers and departments. The Mass General Research Institute is built on a culture of excellence, compassion and groundbreaking scientific achievement. Our researchers work side-by-side with physicians—in the lab, in the clinic and at the bedside—harnessing the latest technological advancements to foster discovery at every stage.

The Massachusetts Institute for Excellence and Quality In Learning Health Systems (Mass EQLHS) is a statewide collaborative Institute dedicated to training embedded health system scientists and accelerating the conduct of pragmatic research to improve health system operations, quality, and health outcomes. â€‹

Our partners include Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center, Beth Israel Lahey Health, Mass General Hospital, Brigham and Women’s Hospital, Mass General Brigham, Massachusetts League of Community Health Centers, Cambridge Health Alliance, UMass Medical Center, and the VA. Together we share a common goal to advance  learning health system science by:​​

  1. Creating a stimulating environment to develop embedded learning health system (LHS) scientists

  2. Building a robust shared data infrastructure that will support and accelerate effective research

  3. Accelerating the collaborative culture change to drive meaningful impact in healthcare delivery and outcomes

Harvard Catalyst is devoted to advancing human health by supporting and innovating clinical and translational science, and training the next generation of researchers.

As Harvard University’s Clinical and Translational Science Center, we serve the research community by offering courses and educational programs, research consulting, tools for study design and clinical trial collaboration, guidance on regulatory issues, and pilot funding for novel, high-impact projects – all available to trainees, fellows, and faculty.

The Mongan Institute is dedicated to improving health and access to health care for everyone through research and training in population and health care delivery team science.
