Welcome to the NEW Healthcare Redesign, Evaluation, and Scholarship certificate program!

Who is the program for?

Healthcare leaders, clinician leaders, clinicians, and learners who are dedicated to improving clinical care and operational effectiveness and engaging in scholarship within healthcare systems.

Who will lead and facilitate the program?

A team of faculty with deep experience in healthcare redesign and evaluation.

What will I learn?

Strengthen your ability to design, implement, and measure the impact of programs and innovations aimed at improving healthcare access, value, experience, and outcomes.

What can I expect?

Live, interactive, action-oriented, competency-based modules prepare participants to: 

  • Formulate compelling operational and/or clinical evaluation questions

  • Match the appropriate methodology and design frameworks to your questions

  • Apply design thinking and user-centered design methods

  • Develop optimized goals, metrics, timelines, and milestones

  • Design and implement effective performance improvement strategies

  • Identify strategies to test, implement, and adapt promising interventions and workflows

  • Plan for scalability and sustainability

  • Engage in scholarship to share your work

 

How will the program benefit me?

  • Gain practical skills and support to advance your own projects through hands-on small group learning.

  • Translate your idea into an evaluation project design with mentored assistance. 

  • This program emphasizes rigorous methods, shared learning, dissemination, and scholarly contributions. ​​​

  • Total cost: $2,500

  • Duration: 3 months (January - April 2027)

  • Commitment: 10 hours/week

  • Credits: 3 credits
